Account Manager (UK)
Fight or Flight is looking for a media-savvy Account Manager, comfortable with running a fast-paced press office, shaping the stories behind it, and keeping journalists interested.
Fight or Flight is a fast-growing creative communications agency that helps B2B brands provoke a real response to deliver greater business impact.
Our mission is to rid the world of boring white papers, and instead build earned, owned and social campaigns that turn heads and make headlines.
We’re looking for a media-savvy Account Manager, comfortable with running a fast-paced press office, shaping the stories behind it, and keeping journalists interested.
You will be:
- • The day-to-day driver of your client accounts: building trusted relationships and ensuring work is delivered on time
- • Advising your client on where to show up, and when: anticipating client needs, tackling challenging questions and advising around the latest industry trends (including PR and digital)
- • Driving proactive media relations: from spotting stories and landing coverage, to keeping on top of media moves and building new relationships with traditional and emerging media (inclusive of storytelling across digital channels)
- • Developing news angles and campaign ideas: that earn attention
- • Supporting on new business opportunities: where required
- • Managing and mentoring junior team members: keeping them on track and accountable for their work, whilst providing clear, constructive feedback to build a positive collaborative team culture
What we’re looking for:
- • A minimum of 2–3 years of B2B/corporate communications experience (previous PR/marketing agency experience preferred but not essential)
- • An individual comfortable with (and curious about) using AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity and improve ideas (not replace critical thinking)
- • A solid and growing track record in press office activity and media relations for B2B brands
- • Hands-on experience with PR tools: Roxhill, Signal AI, Cision, Meltwater etc.
- • A good understanding of the B2B landscape, how the market is evolving and what is affecting it
- • A confident multi-tasker who is excited and motivated working in a fast-paced environment
- • Comfortable working in a flat-structured, meritocratic environment
- • A team player who loves contributing to work culture
